"Vice Manoy has lied and lied and lied, even to those who loved him. More to those who loved him."
- Member of Ilaw at Rosas, Kabarangay ni Manoy Movement
"Some candidates believe that the only way to assure victory is to monkey with the results. These politicians are those who are willing to make fortunes from irregular deals and tainted projects, the proceeds of which would be used to win votes. These trapos (traditional politicians) completely ignore the fact that the best way to win elections is to genuinely work for the welfare of the people."
- Senator Loren Legarda
"Despite the handicap of such a corrupt adulterer, plunderer and robber doing his evil damnedest to stop the Santa Rosa electorate from finding out the truth about him, internet access increased by 91% in the first quarter of 2009. MANOY AND SATAN ARE NO MATCH FOR JESUS, AND GOD IS ON OUR SIDE."
- 2010 Campaign Against Corruption In Laguna
"Manoy Alipon is a reprobate, the antithesis of NPC/GO which he fraudulently claims to be representative of. He is brainwashing people that his moral turpitude is what NPC/GO stands for. We need to disown him before the damage he causes to us in Laguna gets beyond repair."
- Member of NPC/GO
"Satan beware. Christians are alive and well. We are invading the enemy stronghold."
- Paul Crouch, founder of Trinity Broadcasting Network
"Every believer all over the world wake up and realize, satan is busy destroying the world right before our very eyes. We can't just stand here, we can't accept this. Satan this is it, we're tired of takin it. Satan we declare war. The enemy is cunning. The devil hates it when we glorify God. We declare war against the enemy. We cannot lose with the Lord on our side. Satan's under our feet. Stomp stomp stomp stomp stomp on the devil. He is defeated, the devil is defeated. I've got the victory, I've got the victory."
- Kurt Carr, from 'We Declare War'
"Corruption adversely impacts on the enjoyment of rights, especially of the poor and vulnerable. The level of corruption in the Philippines has reached a humanitarian crisis at its core, encroaching and eating up not only the right of every citizen to good governance, freedom, and decent life, but her and his dignity as well. Pervasive corruption has led us into our quagmire now – the poor are less educated, have less access to health and economic opportunity, and are less able to uplift themselves from their own poverty. Corruption is a very serious violation of human rights."
- Leila de Lima, chairperson of the Commission on Human Rights
"Corruption has not only damaged and weakened national institutions and resulted in inequitable social services but has also resulted in judicial ‘injustice’, economic inefficiencies and unchecked environmental exploitations. It hits hardest at the poor, who often depend heavily on public services and the natural environment and are least able to pay bribes for essential services that should be theirs by right. Challenging economic times may even see the situation worsen. Global recession sees opportunities for corruption increase with decisions on how to align funds which supposedly aim to mitigate the impact of the crisis. Also there will be the 2010 elections where a fair amount of campaign money is likely to be drawn from government coffers. Unfortunately, the real price of corruption is not paid in currency. The true costs are eroded opportunities, increased marginalization of the disadvantaged and feelings of injustice."
- Renaud Meyer, Country Director of United Nations Development Programme
"In the Philippines, an average of 20 percent of the country’s annual budget goes to corruption, and the money lost to corruption could have funded spending on social services like education, healthcare, housing and livelihood capital, and infrastructure. This time, it’s no longer enough to just name and shame corrupt officials. It is about empowering all to act and to demand good governance. Non-government organizations and civil society groups are needed to help out. If no one’s watching, corruption thrives.
"
- Teresita Baltazar, chairperson of the Anti-Graft Commission
“Ang hirap ng buhay namin. Samantalang yung iba, ninanakaw lang ang pera ng bayan na pwede sanang gamitin para matulungan kaming mahihirap."
- Sta. Rosa constituent whose family's permanent poverty is caused and maintained by the satanism of Manoy 'Judas' Alipon
"Times have changed. Filipino bloggers around the world are watching. Filipino bloggers are fearless warriors. Filipino bloggers protecting their families will never be silenced by the hired guns of corrupt politicians like the infernal Satan-worshipper Manuel 'Judas' Gonzales Alipon of Laguna. To us he is the foul stench of a bad breath belch or a turd of putrid shit. We cast a curse on his murderous thefts of public funds, and our curse will exterminate his 2010 election campaign."
- internet blog
"Santa Rosa's Vice
Mayor can never be trusted. A politician as corrupt
as the dishonorable Manuel 'Judas' G. Alipon is the
lowest form of life. A poisonous snake has more integrity
than Manoy Alipon."
- Jacqui Wones, former business partner robbed by
corrupt Vice Mayor Alipon
"The
Vice Mayor of Santa Rosa City is an adulterer and fornicator
who pretends to be a Catholic. As a favor to his mistress
in Calamba, he installed her brother on the Sta. Rosa municipal
payroll."
- Municipal employee not working for Manoy Alipon
"Manoy
Alipon makes the corrupt politician's mistake of thinking
the people love him. Nothing could be further from
the truth. He was elected because in 2007 he robbed
his business partners to buy votes. This is the truth.
The poor people of Santa Rosa whose votes he bought for a few pesos
each have only contempt for his cruel exploitation of their
poverty."
- former Barangay Balibago
volunteer
"Manoy Alipon is
a criminal. Nothing more, nothing less. There is no
way he can be regarded as honorable. He does not know
the meaning of this word. He has no interest in building
a better Sta. Rosa or a better nation. His only interest
is himself. The way he flaunts his girlfriend Jenny
in public is proof that even his own family is not important
to him."
Norman Collins, former business partner robbed by
corrupt Vice Mayor Alipon
"Corruption is the biggest issue of the 2010 elections. People are tired of it, and it is really the reason behind all of our problems."
- Roman catholic priest-on-leave Eddie Panlilio, elected Pampanga Governor as an alternative to traditional corrupt politicians
"Kapampangans from around the world spread the word. Politicians in Metro Manila took special notice. Four of the country’s top election lawyers crossed political lines to offer their services to Panlilio, for free. His victory made him the first priest to be elected governor in the country’s history. It also inspired many Filipinos, not only in Pampanga or throughout the archipelago but even those among the OFW diaspora, that the light of hope can shine even in the blackest night."
- Philippine Daily Inquirer
The name
"Manoy" used to be respected in Balibago and beyond,
but no more. Since becoming City Vice Mayor of Santa
Rosa Laguna representing Nationalist People's Coalition/Genuine
Opposition, Manuel Gonzales Alipon of Amar Village
has betrayed the trust of those who supported him
and voted for him. To their huge shock, this dishonorable
man has turned out to be the most hypocritical and
corrupt vice mayor in the history of Sta Rosa.
Playing
on his time as a seminarian in the distant past, Manoy
falsely convinced backers and constituents that he
was "a good man". Now in the second year of his 3-year
term, he has already proved to be the opposite.

Instead
of helping the people, he has become their greatest
handicap to progress and prosperity. Instead of crusading
to eradicate corruption, he has himself become corruption
personified. Instead of attracting investors and jobs
to grow the economy of Santa Rosa City, he is driving
them away.

If you
are among the thousands of Sta Rosa constituents whose
circumstances have got worse since making the mistake
of voting Manoy into office in 2007, then vote him
out of office in 2010.

"The Vice Mayor of
Santa Rosa is a fraudster and robber. He uses taxpayers' money to pay wages in his private businesses. He uses
taxpayers' money to procure guns unlawfully and
to pay his unlicenced private army. He sends his gunmen
to steal other people's property."
- Steve Franklin, foreign investor robbed by corrupt Vice Mayor Alipon
"GO will strive to create
more opportunities for all Filipinos, especially those
who have less, to achieve a higher quality of life in
a society that is justly, peacefully and honestly governed. GO adheres to the
principles of transparency, accountability and good governance and
will endeavor to eliminate lying, cheating and stealing. GO will sponsor
and/or support legislative initiatives that would generate more jobs
through labor intensive infrastructure projects in the rural areas rather than
mega projects which are prone to large scale corruption."
- excerpted from Program of the Genuine Opposition
"A political party that does not improve the lives of the people has no reason to exist."
- Eduardo "Danding" Cojuangco, Chairman Emeritus of the Nationalist People's Coalition
"I would want to see a young leader in 2010. Someone that embodies the generation to which the majority of Filipinos belong to right now. Being young is not a handicap. No one can boast anything based from experience, because those with long experience in government have made big fools of us. Experience...has not served this country well."
- Senator Francis 'Chiz' Escudero (NPC/GO)
"What more can I add? Everything they say is true. We came here in good faith to invest in the Philippines. Manoy Alipon, first as Balibago Barangay Captain then as City Vice Mayor stole our money, tricked us into paying Man-Ali's rent and electricity, sent crook after crook - including his cousin Danny Alipon - to cheat us at the factory and multiply our startup costs, ordered some of our key workers to absent themselves from the HRLD factory to complete projects for his home and for Barangay Balibago while HRLD was paying all their full-time wages, then finally changed the locks at our factory, seized our machines, equipment and supplies, installed his gunmen to keep us out, and demolished the workers' barracks, forcing our business out of Laguna and destroying the livelihood of 32 Filipinos whose jobs we had created in Santa Rosa City. All this after we had so generously supported his Vice Mayoral election campaign with cash donations of more than 1.1 million pesos, the free use of factory space, materials and labor, the free loan of printer, computer, Nikon digital camera with 1Gb memory card, professional tripod, and two 1HP air conditioners for his campaign office, plus personal gift of the most expensive Nokia cell phone for him to co-ordinate his campaign management. Is this what all decent honest Filipinos mean by "Utang na loob?" If so, all foreign investors should take their money out of the Philippines and never return. I know for certain it is not so. Decent honest Filipinos are truly decent and honest. But foreign investors need to find them. Manuel 'Judas' Gonzales Alipon merely represents the most un-Christian and most evil side of Philippine corruption. I was converted and baptized into the Catholic church after coming to the Philippines, and for this I have no regrets. Yet regrettably I must advise that my spiritual progress was a constant battle against the inhumane corruption of City Vice Mayor Manoy Alipon."
- Al Collins, former business partner of Vice Mayor Alipon
"The country’s main problem is moral decadence, which is the root cause of graft and corruption and poverty in the country. It’s time for the moral forces of the country to manifest themselves. They should cease to be an invisible force. They should play a dominant role in redirecting the destiny of our people."
- Chief Justice Reynato S. Puno
Left: Manoy's blasphemous thanks to all his backers, sponsors, employees,
supporters and volunteers before corruptly betraying their trust when he became Vice Mayor.
"I call on all our
government workers at the national and local level to
be more responsive and accountable to the people."
